The Truffle Farm (Tasmania) is Australia's first producing black truffle farm and a family-owned working farm located in the Meander Valley of northern Tasmania.
The farm pioneered Australia's commercial black truffle industry when the country's first black truffle was successfully harvested on 18 June 1999.
Today, the farm combines commercial truffle production with year-round visitor experiences, allowing guests to experience an authentic working truffle farm while learning about the history, cultivation and harvest of one of the world's most highly prized culinary ingredients.

Australia's first black truffle was harvested at the farm on 18 June 1999.
The business celebrated 25 years since Australia's first black truffle harvest in 2024.
Commercial truffle production remains the primary purpose of the property.
Visitor experiences are conducted within an operating commercial farm.
The farm produces both Winter Black Truffles (Tuber melanosporum) and Summer Black Truffles (Tuber aestivum), allowing fresh truffles to be harvested during much of the year.
The plantation currently contains more than 5,500 producing truffle trees, with approximately 2,000 additional trees in the establishment and growth phase.
The Terry Family
The Terry family pioneered Australia's commercial black truffle industry.
Following years of research, experimentation and development, founder Tim Terry successfully harvested Australia's first black truffle on 18 June 1999.
Since then, the Terry family has continued to contribute to the development of Australia's truffle industry through commercial production, agritourism, education and industry leadership.
The farm remains family owned and operated.
Anna Terry
Anna Terry is owner of The Truffle Farm (Tasmania), a second-generation truffle farmer and former dietitian.
Having grown up on the farm, Anna has participated in truffle hunting since childhood and is recognised as one of Australia's most experienced truffle hunters.
Anna leads the farm's agritourism experiences and continues her family's commitment to sharing knowledge about Australian truffles, sustainable agriculture and regional Tasmania with visitors from around the world.
Anna is a passionate advocate for agritourism, regional tourism and the continued growth of Australia's truffle industry.
